Localised Slimming and Body Contouring
Addressing localised fat that weight loss does not resolve — without promising weight loss.
Localised slimming treatments target limited fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. Injection-based lipolytic treatments and device-assisted methods are used. These are not weight-loss methods and do not replace weight management; they aim at a targeted correction of body proportions.

Step by step
Before your appointment
At the first consultation we discuss your goal and expectations, measure and photograph the area (records stay in your file only and are never used in promotion). Your general health and medication are reviewed.
On the day
The area is marked and cleansed. Depending on the method, numbing cream or local anaesthetic is used. Measurements are repeated before the session; readings are taken at every visit so progress can be tracked.
During the procedure
With the injection-based method, numerous small injections are made across the area in a grid pattern. With device-assisted methods, an applicator is held over the area for a set time. A burning or pressure sensation may be felt.
How you will feel afterwards
Swelling, firmness and tenderness are expected in the area and can last 3–7 days. Bruising may occur. In the first days the area can look larger than before — this is swelling, not the result.
Follow-up
Drinking plenty of water and staying active are advised. Sessions are scheduled 2–4 weeks apart and measurements compared each time. Maintaining the result depends on weight control, which is discussed openly at the outset.
Risks and side effects
The following can occur with this treatment. Most are temporary; the rare and serious ones are noted separately.
- Swelling, firmness and tenderness — expected, lasting 3–7 days
- Bruising and temporary numbness
- Surface irregularity or asymmetry — balanced across the session plan
- Skin laxity becoming more apparent as fat reduces
- Rarely, infection or prolonged firmness
- Expectations not being met — which is why the goal is defined in measurements from the start
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose weight with these treatments?
No. Localised slimming is not a weight-loss method and will not meaningfully change the number on the scale. Its aim is to reduce resistant fat in specific areas of a body whose weight is already managed. For weight loss, the right approach is nutrition and, where indicated, medical treatment.
Is the result permanent?
Maintaining the result depends on maintaining your weight. If you gain weight afterwards, remaining fat cells enlarge and the area can fill out again. For this reason the treatment is not presented as a solution independent of diet and activity habits.
After how many sessions will I notice a difference?
Measurable change is usually seen after the third or fourth session. Because measurements are taken from the same points each time, progress is tracked by numbers rather than impressions. If there is no meaningful change after four sessions, the plan is revised or the treatment is stopped.
How does it differ from liposuction?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure; it removes far more fat in a single session and requires anaesthesia and a recovery period. Localised slimming is non-surgical, its effect is more limited and it is spread across a series. For someone seeking a large-volume change, surgery is the appropriate route.
