Mesotherapy
Supporting the skin’s hydration and nutrient balance with micro-doses delivered directly into the tissue.
Mesotherapy is the injection of small doses of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids into the upper layers of the skin using very fine needles. The goal is not to add volume but to support the skin’s ability to retain moisture. Results build gradually across a series of sessions.

Step by step
Before your appointment
Do not stop blood-thinning medication or supplements (aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E) without consulting your doctor, but do tell us what you take. Coming without make-up on the treatment area makes the session easier.
On the day
Your skin is assessed first and the mixture is selected for you. The area is cleansed; if you prefer, a topical numbing cream is applied for 15–20 minutes.
During the procedure
Numerous small injections are made with very fine needles. Most people describe this as pricking or tingling. The whole session takes 20–30 minutes.
How you will feel afterwards
Redness and small bumps are expected and usually settle within a few hours. Small bruises can occasionally last a few days. You can return to your normal routine the same day.
Follow-up
Avoid make-up, sauna, steam rooms and intense exercise for 24 hours. The next session is scheduled 2–3 weeks later. After the series, one or two maintenance sessions per year may be suggested.
Risks and side effects
The following can occur with this treatment. Most are temporary; the rare and serious ones are noted separately.
- Redness, mild swelling and a stinging sensation — expected and short-lived
- Small bruises, particularly in thin-skinned areas such as under the eyes
- Temporary tenderness at injection sites
- Rarely, an allergic reaction
- Very rarely, infection — not expected when sterile technique is followed
Frequently asked questions
Does mesotherapy hurt?
Because very fine needles are used, most people describe pricking and tingling rather than pain. Thin-skinned areas such as around the eyes and the neck are more sensitive. A topical numbing cream applied 15–20 minutes beforehand noticeably reduces discomfort if you prefer.
How many sessions are needed and when will I see results?
A series of 4–6 sessions, 2–3 weeks apart, is typical. Most people notice a change after the second or third session, usually first as skin that feels more hydrated and smoother. The number of sessions is reassessed during the course based on how your skin responds.
Are the results permanent?
No. Mesotherapy supports the skin’s own structure but does not stop the ageing process. After a completed series, the effect is generally expected to last 6–8 months. This varies with age, skin type, sun exposure and smoking.
What is the difference between mesotherapy and dermal filler?
Filler uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid to add volume and shape in a specific area. Mesotherapy spreads non-cross-linked ingredients over a wider area to support tissue quality; it does not add volume or change facial contours. The two have different goals and are not interchangeable.
